Banatao Family Filipino American Education Fund

Asian Pacific Fund is currently accepting applications for Banatao Family Filipino American Education Fund. This scholarship is exclusively open to Filipino heritage who are living in one of the eligible counties listed below. Up to five $5,000 awards will be given annually. The application deadline is 24 February 2017.

Award Value
The value of the awards is $5,000 per year or $20,000 in total.

Level and Area of Studies
Undergraduate degree in all subjects.

Place of Study
In the United States of America.

Eligibility and Criteria

  • Grade level: Incoming freshman enrolled full-time at an accredited four-year college or university in 2017-18
  • Minimum GPA: 3.0
  • Major: engineering, mathematics, computer science, environmental or physical science
  • Ethnic heritage: Filipino heritage (at least 50%)
  • Financial need
  • Residency:Northern California counties:Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Merced, Monterey, Napa, Sacramento, San Benito, San Francisco, San Joaquin, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Solano, Sonoma or Stanislaus. Southern California counties:Los Angeles, Orange or San Diego.

Applicants’ Nationality
U.S nationality with Filipino heritage are welcome to apply.
