Each year, the Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS) offers an essay scholarship for Canadian students who are enrolled in the program of health and safety related course. The scholarship winners will receive benefit of $3,000. To apply, all required entries must be received no later than 31 January each year.
The Dick Martin Scholarship award is administered by the Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS) with support from WorkSafeBC, the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) and the Canadian Labour Congress (CLC).
The winner of this Dick Martin Scholarship will be awarded up to $3,000.
Level and Area of Studies
Certificate, diploma or degree program in health and safety related courses.
Place of Study
At an accredited college or university in Canada.
Eligibility and Criteria
This scholarship is available to any student enrolled, either full-time or part-time, in an occupational health and safety related course or program leading to an occupational health and safety certificate, diploma or degree at an accredited college or university in Canada. Programs include mine safety, occupational or industrial health and safety, industrial hygiene, safety management or other related safety degree program.
Canadian students are welcome to apply.
To apply for the award, post secondary students are invited to submit a 1,000-1,200 word essay, cover letter and completed online application form.
31 January on annual basis.
