Fully Funded International Scholarships of MASDAR Institute

The applications for MASDAR Institute Scholarships are now accepted. Those scholarships available for worldwide students undertaking postgraduate program majoring in science, engineering and information technology. This is a fully funded award. All of the relevant expenses will be included. Application deadline is 31 May 2017.

Scholarship Description
Each year, the Masdar Institute Scholarship is offered along with other four types of scholarships. This scholarship available for both master and PhD students. Qualified Master’s and Doctorate degree applicants to Masdar Institute will be provided with full scholarship benefits upon admission.

Award Value
Selected scholars may expect to receive the following benefits:

  • 100% of all tuition fees
  • All required textbooks
  • A laptop
  • Reimbursement of GRE and TOEFL exam/test fees
  • Masdar Institute housing
  • Monthly stipend
  • Health insurance
  • Annual return ticket home if applicable
  • Housing is based on double occupancy

Level and Area of Studies
Master and doctoral degree the science, engineering and information technology related studies.

Place of Study
This study can be taken in Uni Emirate Arab.

Eligibility and Criteria
Each of the level of studies has own criteria as follow:
For MSc programme:

  • A relevant undergraduate degree in science, engineering or information technology
  • A minimum CGPA of 3.0 (on a scale of 4.0)
  • A minimum GRE Quantitative score of 155 (700 on the old scale).
  • A minimum TOEFL score of 91 or a minimum academic IELTS score of 6.5.

For PhD programme:

  • A relevant undergraduate and Master’s degree in the above fields.
  • A minimum CGPA of 3.0 in the undergraduate degree and 3.2 in the Master’s degree.
  • A minimum GRE Quantitative score of 155 (700 on the old scale).
  • A minimum TOEFL of 91 (IBT) Alternatively, a minimum academic IELTS score of 6.5.

Applicants’ Nationality
All nationalities are eligible to apply.

Application Instruction
All applicants are required to provide the documents as follow:

  • Copy of undergraduate/graduate transcripts
  • Statement of Objectives
  • Research Proposal (for PhD applicants)
  • Copy of GRE and TOEFL (or IELTS) scores
  • Copy of CV (including list of publications, awards, professional experience, etc.)
  • JPEG passport-sized photo of not more than 100K in size
  • Name and email address of 3 referees
