Google CS4HS Funding Program

Google is glad to announce the CS4HS (Computer Science for high School) Program. This program is open to any research institution, including university in the United States. The winning applicants will be granted up to $35,000 (USD) each. No entries will be accepted after 2 March 2018.

Program Description
Google launched CS4HS (Computer Science for high School) as an official program in 2009 to provide CS teachers globally with an opportunity to improve their technical and pedagogical skills. Today they continue this work in over 20 countries. CS4HS funding enables computer science education experts to provide exemplary computer science professional development for teachers.

Award Value
Institutions in the US may receive the support of up to $35,000 (USD) each. A minimum of 10% of your funding must be allocated to communities of practice work.

Non-degree program in computer science.

Place of Study
In the United States of America.

Eligibility and Criteria

  • You must be affiliated with a research institution, university and/or an educational nonprofit such as a professional development organization, school district or a local office of education.
  • Any research institution, university, educational nonprofits such as professional development organizations, school districts or local offices of education dedicated to providing exemplary computer science professional development for teachers in North America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, China, Australia or New Zealand is welcome to apply.
  • University students are encouraged to be involved in the writing of the application and the delivery of the professional development where appropriate. However, the application must be submitted by full-time staff of the university.

Applicants’ Nationality
This program is open to research institution providing exemplary computer science professional development for teachers in North America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, China, Australia or New Zealand.
