Entries for the Hogan/Smoger Access to Justice Essay Competition are now being accepted. The contest is exclusively open to law students, both undergraduate and master level. The selected candidate will receive benefit of $5,000 prize. To apply, entries must be received by 30 April 2018.
The Hogan/Smoger Access to Justice Essay Competition is administered by Public Citizen. The contest is open to all current law students and all masters of law students. Essay submissions are sought on the topic below.
One winner will be chosen to receive $5,000.

The competition is open to all current law students and all masters of law students. Co-authored submissions are eligible, if selected, the co-authors will share the prize.
The U.S. citizens are welcome to apply.
Students must submit an essay on the following topic:
