Michelle Zalkin Scholarship fo Masters in Paediatrics and Child Health

The University College London is currently accepting applications for the Michelle Zalkin Scholarship. The eligible candidates should have been accepted to undertake Masters degree in Paediatrics and Child Health at the University for September intake. The award winner will receive benefit of £10,000 per year. The application deadline is 30 June annually.

Scholarship Description
This Scholarship was established in memory of Dr Michelle Zalkin to promote excellence in safeguarding and child protection. It offers exceptional students with a proven interest in child protection the chance to undertake the UCL Masters in Paediatrics and Child Health. Michelle gained a distinction on the MSc course, then worked in Community Paediatrics specialising in child protection. The scholarship was established by Michelle’s family and friends to encourage the next generation to continue and build upon her work.

Only one students will be selected to receive £10,000 per academic year.

Eligibility and Criteria
This Michelle Zalkin Scholarship is available for who have an unconditional or conditional offer to study the UCL MSc in Paediatrics and Child Health programme for entry in September full time or modular/flexible. Each candidates will be selected based on the basis of the scholarship application form and in particular on their personal statement, as well as their original application for the course. The selected student will be academically strong and have a focus on child protection in their daily work.
