Oxford-Linacre African Full Graduate Scholarship, UK

The University of Oxford is delighted to invite applications for the Oxford-Linacre African Scholarship. One fully-funded scholarship will be given to students from Sub-Saharan African countries. The closing date of application is January each year.

Scholarship Description
The scholarship is jointly funded by the University, Linacre College and the Rhodes Trust. The scholarship is only tenable at Linacre College. All eligible applicants will be considered for this scholarship, regardless of which college (if any) you state as your preference on the graduate application form. However, successful applicants will be transferred to Linacre College in order to take up the scholarship.

Value and Tenure
The scholarship covers course fees, college fees and a grant for living costs of at least £14,296. Awards are made for the full duration of your fee liability for the agreed course.

Level and Area of Studies
Graduate program in any field offered by the university.

Eligibility and Criteria
To be eligible, candidates must be ordinarily resident in Sub-Saharan African countries eligible for Rhodes Scholarships who are applying to a full-time DPhil course at the University.

Applicants’ Nationality
Only Sub-Saharan African countries’ citizens are invited to apply.

Application Instruction
To be considered, you must submit your application for graduate study by the relevant January deadline (6 or 20 January 2017, depending on your course) and submit an application to the Rhodes Trust.
