The University of Cardiff is glad to invite applications for the Sasakawa Japanese Studies Postgraduate Studentship Programme. The studentship program is open to any students from around the world. They must hold a 2.1 degree at least, preferably in Japanese Studies. They winners may expect to receive up to £10,000. The deadline is 23 February 2018 .
This studentship consists of £10,000 total and is very generously funded by The Nippon Foundation and the Great Britain Sasakawa Foundation.

Eligibility and Criteria
- Academic criteria : Applicants must hold a 2.1 degree at least, preferably in Japanese Studies. The candidate must be able to use Japanese for conducting research.
- Residency : This studentship is open to students of any nationality. Students classified as international for fee purposes have to self-fund the difference between home and international fees.
There is no nationality restriction.
Consideration is automatic on applying for any postgraduate taught or postgraduate research programme in the School of Modern Languages, with a start date of September 2018 via Cardiff University’s Online Application Service.
