Soroptimist Violet Richardson Award

Each year, SILA offers the Soroptimist Violet Richardson Award. The award only available for female applicants who have significantly contribute to community through volunteer service. The awardees will be granted maximum $1,000. Application are accepted no later than 15 December on annual basis.

Program Description
Named for the president of the first Soroptimist club, the Soroptimist Violet Richardson Award honors girls who are making a difference through volunteer service. Each year, SILA honors a local high school student who donates her time and energy to a cause that makes the community and world a better place, such as working to end discrimination and poverty, assisting women and children who are victims of domestic violence, or mentoring young girls.

Award Value
SILA awards $500 to the student and an additional $500 to the charity of her choice.

Non-degree program in all subjects.

Eligibility and Criteria
The main requirement of this award that the applicants should be girls who are making a difference through volunteer service.

The U.S students may apply this award.
