The College JumpStart Scholarship, An Essay Based Scholarship, USA

The College JumpStart Scholarship is available to three best applicants. Those interested to apply this scholarship must write an essay responding the topic below. High schools and college students are welcomed to participate in this College JumpStart Scholarship program. Three best candidates will receive maximum $1,500. Your essay must be submitted before 17 October and 15 April each year.

This scholarship has multiple winners: a first place winner ($1,500 scholarship), a second place winner ($750 scholarship), and honorable mentions ($250 scholarships).

Eligibility and Criteria
This scholarship is for current students (10,11,12 graders and college students) or for those who plan on entering college within the next year.

US students may participate in the College JumpStart Scholarship.

Application Instruction
The scholarship application (which can be found online) asks applicants to write a brief (250 word) essay on one of the following topics:

  • What are your educational goals?
  • How will winning this scholarship help you attain your goals?
  • Write about a time when “hard work” paid off.
  • Describe your experience with community service and volunteering and how that has affected you and your outlook.

Submission Deadline
October 17, April 15 each year
