Each year, the ADEA/Sunstar Americas, Inc./Jack Bresch Student Legislative Internship Program open. Predoctoral students studying dental studies are invited to apply. The deadline is 1 November every year.
This student legislative internship provides a unique learning experience in Washington, DC. The internship is designed to encourage students to learn about and eventually to become involved–as dental professionals–in the state and federal legislative processes and the formulation of public policy as it relates to academic dentistry.
The student intern will receive a $7,500 stipend to cover travel and other expenses for the period of the internship.

Eligibility and Criteria
Be a full-time predoctoral, allied, or advanced dental student, resident or fellow whose institution is willing to work with the student to identify and appropriate time, consisting of six weeks during the school year, to pursue the internship. ADEA is flexible in the arrangement of time away from the intern’s other responsibilities; the time need not be consecutive.
