Alexander Herzen Junior Visiting Fellowships in Austria

The applications for Alexander Herzen Fellowship are now accepted. Three fellows will be awarded up to 38.100 EUR in total. He or she will be expected to spend up to six months doing relevant research in Austria. To apply, the application package must be submitted no later than 28 April 2017.

Fellowship Description
The Mikhail Prokhorov Foundation and the Institute for Human Sciences (IWM), Vienna/Austria, jointly announce the Call for Applications for the Alexander Herzen Fellowships 2017-2018. The Alexander Herzen Junior Visiting Fellowships are designed as an award for excellence for the most promising young researchers in the Humanities and Social Sciences from the Siberian, Ural and Far-Eastern federal districts, and the Voronezh, Lipetsk, Belgorod, Ryazan and Kaluga regions.

Award Value
The selected applicants will award valued up to 12.700 EUR per person.

Eligibility and Criteria
To be eligible, the applicants should meet the criteria as follow:

  • have completed a degree equivalent to an M.A. in the humanities or social sciences;
  • have recently obtained a Ph.D. and work as post-doctoral researchers;
  • must not be older than 35 years;
  • must have experience in working on research projects independently
  • must have advanced English language proficiency;
  • must live, study and work in the Siberian, Ural and Far-Eastern federal districts, and the Voronezh, Lipetsk, Belgorod, Ryazan and Kaluga regions.
