The Sawyer Seminar and the Center for Documentary Research and Practice (CDRP) at Indiana University is pleased to invite applications for the Andrew W. Mellon. This fellowship program is intended to any student with no citizenship restriction. Fellows be undertaking research in one of the areas listed below. A range of benefits will be given to the winning fellows including stipend of $20,000. The application deadline is March 1, 2016.
The fellow will receive a stipend of $20,000 for the year as well as health insurance.
Level and Area of Studies
Research program in the field that related to work area of filmmakers, historians, legal scholars, film and media scholars, anthropologists, cognitive scientists, and journalists.
Place of Study
In the United States of America.
Eligibility and Criteria
- be either ABD in Cinema and Media Studies no later than August 31, 2016 with a demonstrable background in History, Law, History and Philosophy of Science, Anthropology, Sociology, Journalism or related discipline or
- have a J.D. or be ABD in History, Law, History and Philosophy of Science, Anthropology, Sociology, Journalism or related discipline no later than August 31, 2016 and have a demonstrable background in the study or production of documentaries.
