The University of Newcastle is now accepting applications for the Clyde Higgs Scholarship for 2016/17 entry. Please note, only UK students are invited to apply. To be eligible, he or she must be pursuing undergraduate program majoring in agriculture-related studies. This year, there are five awards available. Each of those amounting up to £5,000.
The Clyde Higgs Scholarships are generously funded by the Elizabeth Creak Charitable Trust which aims to help the advancement of Agriculture. The scholarship committee will select four best applicants to receive the award. Applications will be judged on academic potential, enthusiasm and aptitude for the chosen programme of study.
The winning students will receive award valued up to £5,000.
Level and Area of Studies
Undergraduate degree in one the courses as follow: Agri-business Management, Agriculture, Agriculture with Agronomy, Agriculture with Animal Production Science, Agriculture with Farm, Business Management, Animal Science, Environmental Science, Countryside Management and Rural Studies

Eligibility and Criteria
To be eligible, all applicants are expected to meet the basic requirements as follow:
- be a home student, ordinarily resident in the UK
- have been accepted onto one of the above courses
Only UK students will be considered to receive this Clyde Higgs Scholarship.
