Massey University in New Zealand is accepting an annual scholarship of Colin Aiken Plant Breeding Bursary. Both domestic and overseas students are welcome to apply. All candidates must be seeking undergraduate or postgraduate degree in the field of Plant Breeding at the university.
The Colin Aiken Plant Breeding Bursary was established in 2015 to promote plant breeding as a career. It was set up in association with South Pacific Seed Sales (NZ) Ltd with funds provided by royalties from sales of the Super Kumi hybrid variety of kumi kumi in acknowledgement of the person who produced the variety, Mr Colin Aiken.
The Colin Aiken Plant Breeding Bursary shall have a value up to $1000 per annum.
Level & Area of Studies
Undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Plat Breeding.
Place of study
The study will be taken at Massey University in New Zealand.
Eligibility and Requirements
Candidates must be enrolled full-time at Massey University or Lincoln University, with preference given to those intending to pursue a career in plant breeding. Preference may also be given to New Zealand citizens, though students of other nationalities will be considered.
