Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT) is currently accepting applications for the Fiosraigh Scholarship. Both Irish and foreign students are welcome to apply. This will support those who will be undertaking PhD degree in one of the field listed below. The winning students will be granted a a stipend of and project costs. No application will be accepted after 20 November 2017.
The DIT Fiosraigh Dean of Graduate Research School Award recognises the outstanding achievement by individual students and is open to talented students who wish to pursue a PhD on a Full Time basis. Applications are invited from students of any higher education institution, in Ireland or internationally.
Each of the Dublin Institute of Technology Fiosraigh Scholar, and will be paid a stipend and project costs, for each of the four years.
Level and Area of Studies
PhD degree in the area of Environment, Energy and Health, Information, Communications and Media Technologies, New Materials and Devices and Society, Culture and Enterprise.

At Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT), Ireland.
Eligibility and Criteria
Candidates must have obtained a primary degree classification equivalent to Upper Second Class Honours (2.1) or higher, from an approved University or an approved equivalent degree-awarding body, or have an approved equivalent professional qualification in an area cognate to the proposed research topic. An applicant, whose native language is not English, must also display an adequate proficiency in the English language. The minimum level required is 6.0 on the International English Language Testing System or equivalent for the overall average score and a score not lower than 5.5 in each category.
There is no nationality restriction.
