Scholarship Description

The mission of the Cape Tercentenary Foundation is to preserve, promote and encourage literature, the visual and performing arts and the natural and cultural environment of the Western, Eastern and Northern Cape Provinces. It may not, therefore, fund anything that falls outside this prescription. Therefor, the foundation offers the Dudley D’Ewes Scholarship programs. It is valued up to R10 000 each for post-honours studies are awarded annually. They are open to all in possession of a University Honours degree and candidates must potentially contribute to the fulfilment of the Foundation’s mission.

Eligibility and Requirements

  • The applicants for Dudley D’Ewes Scholarships should have a university honors degree.
  • The candidates should contribute to the fulfillment of the Foundation’s mission.
  • The scholarships are renewed as a whole or as a part subject to the applicant’s satisfactory progress for not more than 1 year.

Application Instruction

To apply, students are required to provide the following documents:

  • Referee reports.
  • Abstract in 1 page.
