Eldred Scholarship is available for sub-Saharan Africa n students who planning to undertake MSc degree at Oxford University. African Studies is the only eligible subjects of the master program. Selected candidates will be awarded fully funded award. The deadline is updated every year.
The Eldred Scholarship at Linacre College was established in 2012. It funds students from sub-Saharan Africa to study the MSc African Studies at Oxford. The scholarship is funded from three sources; Linacre College , which is a college of the University of Oxford; and The University’s African Studies Centre, which is one of the world’s leading centres for African Studies.
The scholarship will cover 100% of University and college fees, a grant for living costs and a return flight from your home country to UK. Awards are made for the full duration of your fee liability for the agreed course.

Eligibility and Criteria
You should be applying to start the MSc African Studies at Oxford and you must be ordinarily resident in sub-Saharan Africa. You should be intending to return to your country of ordinary residence once your course is completed. Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of academic merit.
Students of African country may apply this scholarship.
To apply this scholarship you don’t need to provide a separated application for applying this scholarship. You are only required to apply the graduate study at the university.
