Ensom Prize Program

The University of Canterbury in New Zealand is offering the Ensom Prize for any student enrolled undergraduate program at the university. This essay scholarship provide $1, 500 prize for the winners. Entries are accepted no later than 30 September 2020.

Scholarship Description
The prize is for an essay on a specified topic relating to constructive policy to promote and preserve international peace and goodwill. It was established in 1931 from a bequest of Sarah Ann Ensom, who died on 9 June 1929.

Award Value
The scholarship will provide $1, 500 prize.

Undergraduate degree in any discipline.

Place of study
At the University of Canterbury in New Zealand.

Eligibility and Requirement
In order to be eligible for this Ensom Prize Program, applicants must:

  • be undergraduates of the University of Canterbury; or
  • have become eligible to graduate from the University with their first degree not more than 12 months before the closing date for applications for the current round.
