The Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) is delighted to invite applications for the New Investigator Grants. These grants replace the Future Research Leaders scheme. Candidates from all over the worl are welcome to apply. They will be conducting research in the area of social science. Applications are accepted anytime.

Scholarship Description
The Economic and Social Research Council is pleased to invite proposals for our New Investigator Grants. New Investigator Grants form one element of our support for early career researchers and the scheme is specifically aimed at supporting those looking to make the transition to an independent researcher through managing their first major research project. These grants replace our Future Research Leaders scheme.

Award Value
Grants ranging from £100,000 to £300,000 full Economic Cost (fEC) can be awarded.

Level and Area of Studies
Research program in social science.

Place of Study
The study will be taken in the United Kingdom.

Eligibility and Criteria
The call is open to high-quality candidates from anywhere in the world who have a maximum of four years’ postdoctoral experience and the support of an eligible UK research organization.

Applicants’ Nationality
There is no nationality restriction.
