The Ministry of Education, University and Research (MEUR) is currently accepting applications for the Fulbright Research Scholar and Self-Placed Program. Those scholarships are exclusively available for Italian Students. Deadline for Fulbright-Research Scholar call: February 1, 2019, Deadline for Fulbright Self-Placed program: December 11, 2018.
Fulbright Self-Placed: The scholarships, covering a period of 9 months, are of up to $38,000. The Fulbright-Research Scholar call offers a maximum of 8 scholarships of up to $12,000 for a period of 4 to 9 months to fund research programmes at US universities.
Level and Area of Studies
Master and PhD programs. Scholarships are awarded for teaching projects at the best US universities. All subject areas are admitted with the exception of Law programs for which there is a Fulbright ad-hoc call for applications and clinical specialization programs (Internship or Residency) in the field of Medicine and Surgery, of Dentistry, Veterinary Medicine, Psychology and similar.
Place of Study
The study will be taken in the United States of America.
Eligibility and Criteria
- The call for Fulbright Self-Placed All Disciplines for Master’s and PhD programmes offers 6 grants to enable young Italian graduates to follow post-graduate specialization, Master’s and PhD programmes at US universities. The scholarships, covering a period of 9 months, are of up to $38,000. The deadline for applications is 11 December 2018.
- The Fulbright-Research Scholar call offers a maximum of 8 scholarships of up to $12,000 for a period of 4 to 9 months to fund research programmes at US universities. The call is open to post-doc fellows, researchers, university professors and independent scholars in art-related fields. The aim is to support the implementation of research projects that benefit the international academic and scientific community. The deadline is 1 February 2019.
