GDI Scholarships for UK and EU Applicants

The Global Development Institute is to offer a number of scholarships for UK and European Union students. Those scholarships will support students pursuing master dergree in a relevant fields. Five winners will be selected to receive the award. The closing date of application is 30 June 2017.

Scholarship Description
The Global Development Institute (GDI) is delighted to announce the availability of five scholarships for UK/EU applicants, providing full tuition fee waivers for on-campus Masters programmes commencing in September 2017. Three types of awards are available; Development Economics and Public Policy scholarship, International Development scholarships and Management and Development scholarship.

Award Value
The scholarship will cover full tuition fee waivers for on-campus Masters programmes.

Level and Area of Studies
Master degree program in development fields.

Place of Study
At Manchester University in UK.

Eligibility and Criteria

  • Applicants must already hold an unconditional offer for an eligible Masters programme (please check the box below for information on scholarships available for your Master’s programme).
  • Applicants must hold a First Class honours first degree or equivalent, and an overall score of 6.5 in IELTS (or similar exam), with 6.5 in writing and no other subsections below 6.0 (except applicants from the UK and Ireland).

Applicants’ Nationality
The UK and European Union students are welcome to apply.

Applicants should email a 500-word statement detailing how they will apply their learning to develop a credible career track into development leadership.
