Applicants are now invited a healthcare scholarship of QueensCare Scholarships: Gene and Marilyn Nuziard Scholarship. The entries will be accepted until 1 May on annual basis. The scholarship available for the U.S graduate and undergraduate students pursuing healthcare related studies. Each of the selected applicants may expect to receive up to $10,000.
The purpose of this QueensCare Scholarships fund is to assist in alleviating the problem of the years long shortage of medical healthcare professionals, by providing funds for persons who wish to obtain an education to qualify them as providers of healthcare services and who do not have the financial means to pay for such an education.
The winners may expect to receive up to $10,000 per year.
Level and Area of Studies
Graduate and undergraduate level at one of the following healthcare studies: education of assistants and technicians, nurses, physicians, licensed vocational nurses, registered nurses, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, primary care physicians and Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine; and secondarily, for the education of physician specialists.

In the United States of America.
Eligibility and Criteria
Students should be enrolled in one of the healthcare disciplines listed above. A minimum grade point average of 2.5 is required for community college and professional school students, 3.0 for undergraduates and 3.25 for graduate students. Funding is available to those who demonstrate financial need and who express an interest in working with the underserved here in Los Angeles County upon graduation.
The U.S students may apply this scholarship.
