Each year, Herzog August Bibliothek (HAB) offers the post-doctoral research fellowship for any scholars who will be working on historically oriented in humanities. Fellows will spend 2 and 12 months at doing research doing relevant research. The winning fellows will receive € 1800 per month, plus a travel allowance to and from Wolfenbüttel. The Herzog August Bibliothek is an independent research centre of the State of Lower Saxony and it awards fellowships to working post-doctoral researchers in order to promote research in the areas of medieval and early modern cultural history. The international programme is open to all historically oriented disciplines. Projects should be centered on the historic book and manuscript holdings of the Wolfenbüttel library. Fellows are required to be in residence in Wolfenbüttel for the duration of their fellowship.
Value and Tenure
The monthly fellowship is € 2.200. The fellowship holder will receive a one-time reimbursement for the cost of travel to and from Wolfenbüttel (max. € 2.000). Fellows who bring their families to Wolfenbüttel may apply for a monthly child supplement (one child: € 300; two children € 400; three or more € 500).

Eligibility and Criteria
To be eligible, candidates should be having Ph.D qualification and will be doing research in the are of historic field.
There is no nationality restriction.
