Applications for the John S. Knight (JSK) Fellowship are now invited. Both the U.S and overseas individuals are welcome to apply. Ideal candidates must have professional experiences in journalism field. He or she is expected to spend 10 months at Stanford University obtaining new journalism experience and knowledge. Up to 20 fellows will be selected to receive the award.
A JSK Fellowship is a life-changing experience. Each year, we select 20 fellows from around the world and bring them together for 10 months at Stanford University, in the heart of Silicon Valley. Immersed in the creativity and entrepreneurial spirit of this region, they are inspired to let go of old assumptions and learn new ways of thinking and working. They select fellows who identify and articulate a specific journalism challenge they want to explore in hopes of identifying potential solutions they will continue to work on beyond their time with us.
JSK Fellows will receive several financial benefits, including a stipend of $85,000.

Eligibility and Criteria
Candidates are expected to satisfy the given criteria as follow:
- US applicants ideally have at least seven years of full-time professional experience
- International applicants ideally have at least five years. But we also consider less experienced applicants with outstanding achievements. No college degree is required.
- Full-time journalists
- Journalism entrepreneurs and innovators
- Journalism business and management executives
There is no nationality restriction.
