The Kresge foundation is now offering Kresge Artist Fellowships for any emerging and established artists. The eligible applicants must strongly desire to any artistic achievement in contemporary or traditional forms, is evident in the quality of their work. Emerging and established metropolitan Detroit Literary and Visual artists are invited to apply for a $25,000 Kresge Artist Fellowship. Fellowships are funded by The Kresge Foundation and administered by the Kresge Arts in Detroit office at the College for Creative Studies, with professional practice opportunities for the selected fellows provided by Creative Many Michigan. The purpose of the fellowship is to enable the artist to devote time and resources to whatever is necessary to deepen his or her art form, to experiment and to advance his or her artistic career.
This fellowship will provide up to $25,000 and professional practice opportunities for emerging and established metropolitan Detroit artists.

Eligibility and Criteria
Before you applying this fellowship, please make sure that you are qualified person based on the criteria below:
- Are current legal residents of the metropolitan Detroit tri-county area (Macomb, Oakland or Wayne counties) in Michigan, have resided in the area for the past two years and are expected to retain residence in one of the three counties during the fellowship period. Work in one or more of the disciplines reviewed each year.
- At least 18 years old.
