Motorola Scholar Program | FAER Awards in India

Foundation for Advancement of Education and Research is currently accepting applications for the Motorola Scholar Program. A number of awards will be granted to outstanding students in the area of Computer Science and Information Technology. The highest value of the prizes is Rs. 75,000/-. To apply, entries must be received by 30 October 2017.

Program Description
The purpose of the Motorola Scholar Program as follow:

  • To encourage creativity and innovation amongst the students in polytechnics and engineering institutions across India particularly those in rural and semi-urban areas making them to think and prepare detailed project proposals on areas and topics of relevance.
  • To take up problems of relevance related to rural areas, rural communications,  agricultural information systems, information flows, e-governance, resource utilization, ecology and rural areas, watershed development, use of ad hoc networks, renewable sources and utilization and rural planning etc.
  • To award “Scholars” status to meritorious persons based on a rigorous three stage selection process refereed and conducted by experts.

Award Value
The winners of this Motorola Scholar Program will receive prizes as follow:

  • First Prize Rs. 75,000/- (Rs. 60,000/- to Students Team and Rs. 15,000/- to Project Guide)
  • Second Prize Rs. 50,000/- (Rs. 40,000/- to Students Team and Rs. 10,000/- to Project Guide)
  • Third Prize Rs. 30,000/- (Rs. 24,000/- to Students Team and Rs. 6,000/- to Project Guide)
  • Special Award Rs. 25,000/- to Students team

Level and Area of Studies
College or university level in engineering, IT and computer science.

Place of Study
The study will be taken in India.

Eligibility and Criteria
Eligible candidates for this Motorola Scholar Program should be coming from engineering colleges in India.

Applicants’ Nationality
Indian students are welcome to apply.
