The Council of American Overseas Research Centers (CAORC) is delighted to invite applications for the NEH Senior Research Fellowship Program. Either U.S. or overseas scholars may apply this program. Fellows will be undertaking one to four – month research in one of countries listed below.
About the Sponsor (s)
The Council of American Overseas Research Centers (CAORC) is a private not-for-profit federation of independent overseas research centers that promote advanced research. Applicants whose first language is not English are usually required to provide evidence of proficiency in English at the higher level required by the University.
Fellowship stipends are $5,000 per month for a maximum of four months.
Level and Area of Studies
Research program in fields of study that include, but are not limited to, history, philosophy, religious studies, literature, literary criticism, and visual and performing arts. In addition, research that embraces a humanistic approach and methods will be considered.
Place of Study
The research must be taken in Scholars must carry out research in a country which hosts a participating American overseas research center.
Eligibility and Criteria
- Applicants must be US citizens or foreign nationals who have resided in the US for three years prior to the application deadline.
- Applicants must be postdoctoral scholars.
- Funding is not available for research conducted in the US.
- It is not required that you be affiliated with a US academic institution to apply.
Citizens of all nationalities are eligible, but they must be currently living in USA.
