NIAS Individual Fellowships in Humanities and Social Sciences

Applications for the NIAS Individual Fellowships are now invited. Both domestic and overseas researchers are welcome to apply. The winning fellows will be undertaking advanced research in Humanities and the Social Sciences at Netherlands Institute for Advanced Study. This fellowship program is fully-funded award. To apply, entries must be received by April and August.

Fellowship Description
The new NIAS Individual Fellowships is an offer to senior scholars for advanced research in the Humanities and the Social Sciences. International applicants are eligible to apply for this fellowship. The aim of the institute is to form a diverse but coherent research group that consists of fellows from different disciplinary backgrounds, seniority, gender and geographical origin.

Eligibility and Criteria

  • At least 3 years of post-Ph.D. degree academic experience
  • A completed application form with all relevant attachments
  • Affiliation with a university or research institute

Applicants’ Nationality
Scholars from the Netherlands or abroad who wish to work on an individual project for one semester or two semesters at the Institute are eligible to apply for this NIAS Individual Fellowships.
