The Nora Bateson Scholarship is now acceptable. This scholarship open to students who has recently qualified for admission to the MIS degree to undertake a further term of study in library and information studies at an overseas university. Only one award available which valued approximately $5,000. To apply, the application form must be submitted no later than 31 May each year.
The Nora Bateson Scholarship is intended to encourage beginning practitioners to include some form of overseas study or experience of professional practice in their programme rather than to support work for a research degree.
The winner may expect to receive award valued approximately $5,000.

MIS degree in library and information studies.
Place of Study
The program can be at Victoria University in New Zealand.
Eligibility and Criteria
The Scholarship shall be awarded for the purpose of:
- permitting a student who has recently qualified for admission to the MIS degree to undertake a further term of study in library and information studies at an overseas university
- permitting a student currently enrolled in the MIS programme to undertake a term of study at an overseas university
- supporting an internship at an overseas library.
The citizen of New Zealand may apply this scholarship.
