School GeoSciences Scholarship at the University of Edinburgh, UK

The School of GeoSciences at the University of Edinburgh is pleased to invite applications for the Head of School Scholarships (GeoSciences). Students from all nations are welcome to apply. Up to ten £5,000 will be given for 2016/17 academic year. To apply, entries must be received by 16 June 2017.

Scholarship Description
The School of GeoSciences is delighted to offer a number of scholarships for the 2017-2018 academic session. Each scholarship is worth £5,000 and is tenable for one academic year. The award of your scholarship will be deducted from your tuition fee. The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of academic excellence.

The winning students will receive up to £5,000.

Master degree in the area of Carbon Management, Earth Observation and Geoinformation Management, Ecosystem Services, Environment and Development, Environmental Sustainability, Geographical Information Science, Environment, Culture and Society and Marine Systems and Policies.

Eligibility and Criteria

  • Applications from students studying a full-time taught Master’s degree in one of the following eligible subject areas are considered: Carbon Management, Earth Observation and Geoinformation Management, Ecosystem Services, Environment and Development, Environmental Sustainability, Geographical Information Science, Environment, Culture and Society and Marine Systems and Policies
  • Applicants who have already commenced their programme of study on the closing date are not eligible for this scholarship.
  • Applicants intending to study part-time or online distance learning courses are not eligible for this scholarship.
