SNMMI Wagner-Torizuka Fellowship in USA and Canada

Applications for the SNMMI Wagner-Torizuka Fellowship are now invited. This is exclusively targeted to Japanese physicians. Fellows will spend up to two years in the United States or Canada for obtaining new experience and knowledge in nuclear medicine/molecular imaging modalities in the areas of cardiology, neurology, and oncology. Scholars will receive an annual stipend of $24,000 for three years. To apply, entries must be received by 20 January 2017.

Fellowship Description
The 2016-2018 SNMMI Wagner-Torizuka Fellowship, sponsored by Nihon Medi-Physics Co., LTD, is a one or two-year fellowship in the United States and Canada for Japanese physicians in the early stages of their careers. The purpose of the program is to provide experience and training in nuclear medicine/molecular imaging modalities in the areas of cardiology, neurology, and oncology. The program is expected to advance Fellows’ research and clinical expertise, as well as facilitate professional development, and to equip them to make significant contributions to the field of nuclear medicine and molecular imaging in Japan.

Value and Tenure
Successful fellows will receive $24,000 per year. The fellowship is tenable for three years.

Non-degree program in nuclear medicine/molecular imaging modalities in the areas of cardiology, neurology and oncology.

Place of Study
In the United States or Canada.

Eligibility and Criteria
To be eligible, candidates must be permanent residents of Japan and must have received their Japanese MD license no more than fifteen (15) years from the time of application.

Only Japanese scholars are invited to apply.
