The Sochon Foundation Scholarship is open to UK/EU and overseas students undertaking postgraduate program in the field of Korean studies at SOAS, University of London. The successful applicants of this Sochon Foundation scholarship may expect to receive £6,000 in total.
The Sochon Foundation has generously provided SOAS with scholarships for students undertaking full-time postgraduate programmes in Korean Studies. The scholarship is for one year only. For candidates undertaking an MPhil/PhD programme, the scholarship is not renewable. The Sochon Foundation Scholarship may be held in conjunction with other scholarships. However, please be aware that all financial support secured before 3 May 2018 must be declared in your application. Any awards held will be taken into consideration on assessment of financial need.
The winners of the Sochon Foundation scholarship will receive award valued at £6,000 in total is for tuition fees with the remainder, if any, for living costs.

Before applying this scholarship, please ensure that you meet the following requirements:
- Applicants must have an offer of admission to the degree programme by the scholarship application deadline.
- Applicants must meet the English language condition of their offer of admission to study at SOAS as soon as possible but no later than 1 June 2018. If your offer is conditional on English, please arrange your English test and ensure you meet the English requirements as soon as possible.
UK, EU and overseas students are eligible to apply this Sochon Foundation Scholarship.
