Applications for the Takahashi and Howat Scholarship are now invited. Only Japanese students are welcome to apply. He or she must be planning to participate in postgraduate program at a Scottish institution. There are two 300.000 JPY awards are given annually. The application deadline is May each year.
Established in 2009 by the Japan Scotland Society to commemorate the founder, Mr Takahashi Yoshiteru, and long-time donor and supporter of the society, Mr James T Howat. The scholarships are available to Japanese students undertaking postgraduate study at a Scottish University.
Each of the winning students will receive 300.000 JPY.
Level and Area of Studies
Postgraduate degree in any discipline.
Place of Study
At any Scottish university in Scotland.
Eligibility and Criteria
- Applicants must be Japanese nationals planning to enter a postgraduate course at a Scottish University
- Applicants must undertake to be active in Japan Scotland Society (JSS) after completion of their studies, (recipients will be expected to report on their studies and activities to JSS after completion of their studies).
Only Japanese students are invited to apply this Takahashi and Howat Scholarship.
