Tercentenary Scholarships | International PhD Scholarship in Chemistry

The University of Edinburgh is delighted to invite applications for the Tercentenary international PhD scholarships. The scholarships are intended to non – UK and non – European community students who will be undertaking full-time PhD programmes in the School of Chemistry in 2018-2019. Scholarship Description
The School of Chemistry, University of Edinburgh will offer a minimum of ten scholarships for students starting a full-time PhD programme in the 2018-2019 academic session. The Tercentenary International Scholarships Scheme helps outstanding research students from outside the United Kingdom and European Community to study in the School of Chemistry by providing for some of the costs of their training and supervision.

Award Value
Each of the scholarship winner receive £5,000 per annum and will be deducted from your tuition fees and will be tenable for three years. These awards cannot be held concurrently with fully-funded scholarships such as a Dorothy Hodgkins Postgraduate Award, Commonwealth Scholarship or a School Studentship. They can, however, be combined with other partial funding.

Eligibility and Criteria
The scholarships are offered to applicants who are liable for the overseas rate of tuition fees and starting a full-time PhD programmes in the School of Chemistry in 2018-2019, with start dates between 1 September 2018 and 1 June 2019. The Supervisor with which you wish to study must support your application.

The Tercentenary Scholarships are open to non – UK and non – European community students.
