Scholarship Description

The aim of the Trust is to enable young people to broaden their experience and develop their self-confidence for the future, either by travelling overseas for educational purposes, to participate in community and environmental schemes both in developing countries or in the U.K., or by adventure or specialist training.

Eligibility and Requirements

  • Your home address must be within either Dumfries & Galloway or the Scottish Borders council areas.
  • You must be aged 17 and not over 25 when your project starts.
  • You must be able to fund the balance of the cost of the project by your own efforts.
  • When approving applications the Trustees take into account the amount raised by the individual applicant.
