Entries for the Women Scholarship for Peace: Global South are now being accepted. This scholarship program is exclusively open to female candidates who are the citizens of any country in Africa, Asia/Pacific, Middle East, Latin America & Caribbean. Up to 140 awards will be given away. The winner will participate in training program in the area of peace and development. The closing date of application is 31 August 2016.
The Women Scholarship for Peace: Global South is an initiative coordinated by the UN Office for Disarmament Affairs (UNODA) at Vienna in partnership with 26 organisations whose work contribute to disarmament, non-proliferation and development-related issues. A total of 140 scholarships are made available to facilitate participation of women from the Global South at the training courses.

The program will be taken in Vienna, Austria.
Eligibility and Criteria
This Women Scholarship for Peace: Global South is open to female candidates who are between 22 and 32 years of age.
Candidates should be the citizens of countries in these regions: Asia/Pacific, Africa and the Middle East.
